DIY Terrarium!

I haven't been painting lately because I've been too busy collecting succulents around NYC to build my dream terrarium. Plants make me happy and are obviously evident in my artwork so I figured..what better way to brighten up my home :)

While browsing online, I came across some "Terrarium Kits" but most of them were overpriced. Google is amazing and I realized that these are extremely affordable and easy to make at home vs. paying over $100 for the materials and then still having to build it yourself once it arrives.

This walkthrough today isn't really art related or a painting step-by-step but more of a DIY guide to build your own lovely terrarium!

Aurora Weinhold

I've been following Aurora Weinhold on Deviantart for many years now so of course when she released her first art book - I just had to jump on the opportunity!

Aurora creates beautiful watercolor paintings and mixed media work full of vibrant colors and some abstract elements which results in unique and gorgeous pieces. Her style is extraordinary and recognizable almost anywhere and also evident in her latest book.

Stress is everywhere you go

My 2014 started out very...stressful. Work, relationships, family...everything basically.

Then I realized, stress is everywhere you go. It can't be avoided so just learn to cope. I guess that's probably why I'm in an art slump right now. Haven't been able to create anything new for weeks now =/

Drawing people

Drawing people is my Kryptonite. I cringe and sulk. I get frustrated, upset, and then more frustrated. They say practice makes perfect but every time I draw a person or portrait, I just can't seem to get the anatomy or shapes right.
